The focus of this exchange of Anthony materials is to try to find more information on the Philip Anthony that is counted in the 1800 census records of Armstrong Co., PA. Philip is the only Anthony in the county; he is in Buffalo Township with wife and 9 children. He seems to be in the Westmoreland Co. census in 1790.
In the 1790 census of PA, there are three Anthony's in Westmoreland Co., Jacob Antoney, Philep Antoney and and George Anthony. Jacob, Philip and George were all born before 1774. By 1800, Philip Anthony is in Buffalo Twp., Armstrong County with himself born before 1755 and a wife born before 1755. He has 5 sons and 4 daughters in his household in the census. Jacob and George are still in Westmoreland Co. Actually by 1810 George is still in Westmoreland Co. and by 1820 he doesn't show up in any census index in PA. I suspect he has died in Westmoreland Co., PA.
In 1810, we have Jacob Anthony in the census in Sugarcreek Twp., Armstrong Co. by himself, born 1765-1784. One wonders if this is the Jacob that was in Westmoreland Co. Also in 1810, we have Philip Anthony in Red Bank Twp., Armstrong Co. with the following family:
